Thank you and an update on Jordan

Thank you everyone who left a comment regarding Jordan starting senior school. I, for some reason hve not been getting emails telling me when I've had a comment left, and didn't think anyone looked at my blog, lol. I was just having a good old rant. I'm glad it's not just me that's cross. I have been trying to get hold of the head of year, since last week, leaving messages and emailing but am still waiting.

Jordan has been a little better about going. I feel we are back on square one but at least we are not on square minus 10 that we were on last week. He has dylexia so does find some work harder and has struggled with french so they have taken him out of that for now. Not sure what I think of that at the moment as I'm concerned that when they put him back he will be way behind everyone else, but he is ok about going to school and that is the main thing for me. No more panic attacks, which was my main concern. He has a activity day tomorrow, where they do team building things so I'm hoping he will make a few friends as he is still finding it hard to go out at break and lunchtime. Fingers crossed everyone.
Photo above is on their first day back. Luke (big bro) is on the left (age 16) and Jordan (looking happy) on the right. Bless em. Who would think by looking at this photo that they've turned me grey!!!

More cards

Well here are some cards that I have been making over the last couple of months and not had time to post. The top one was for a friend of mine and her mum, just to say thank you. I put a pocket in and added some M&S vouchers. The 2nd one was for my parents anniversary. My mum likes pink. Not a great photo, i know. Off to make more cards. Whilst I was on holiday I took lots and lots of stamped images to colour and now I have them all to make into cards.

A card for my sister

My sister has asked me to make a card for a friend of hers that has lost her husband. They live in Lanzarote and all the friends have had a collection for him and they wanted to put it in a nice card. We were unsure what words to put on the front so I'm waiting to here if the card is ok before I put anything on there.

I can't believe it's been so long and It's my Birthday

Hi everyone. I'm so sorry it's been like nearly a whole month without posting. I have had so many things going on in my life at the moment I just haven't had time for blogging and cardmaking but now I'm back and determined more than ever to keep up to date.
My dad has been quite ill. He has prostate cancer which obviously makes us worry anyway but he has just been in so much pain and sleeping all the time and eating hardly anything. He got his results back from the doctor on Friday and they said they cannot find anything wrong which is a good thing I know but he is still in pain. He has a hospital appointment at the end of the month so we shall see what they say. The doctor has given him some anti depressants but he doesn't (and I doubt he will) want to take them.

My middle son has just started senior school and has not taken to it at all. I am so shocked. Although no child will usually admit to liking school I have never had him complain about going but now he just doesn't want to go. On his first day he was told off for wearing the wrong shoes. I got him the 3 velcro strip ones which they are not suppossed to wear. The teacher sent him to head of year on his own and he got lost and was very scared. I really am one who agrees that proper school uniform should be worn but for that to happen to him on hisfirst day, I've got to say I was very cross.
On his 3rd day he was shouted at by his history teacher for not numbering his pages in his excercise book. He really shouted at him and threw the book down at him and said he would be speaking to the head of year and phoning his parents. Obviously I said let the phone me.
Well now he just doesn't want to go to school anymore. Jordan is a very sensative child and this was picked up on before he went to senior school and he was on a programme where he went to visit beofre anyone else started. What concerns me most is that on Friday he went to catch the bus as normal and then phoned me in a complete mess saying he just couldn't get on the bus. I told him to come straight home and when I opened the door he just fell in my arms crying and saying he couldn't breathe properly and was going to be sick. I suffer from panic attacks myself and I'm sure that's what he had.
I managed to take him to school but it didn't help that I was very upset as well but he went off although he really didn't want to let go of my finger, bless him. Let's keep our fingers crossed for tomorrow. He's already telling me he doesn't want to go.

Yesterday I had a huge party here for all my husbands family. Some were over from Canada and how lucky were we that we had such gorgeous weather. All the kids played in the swimming pool and on the trampoline and all the adults drank and ate, perfect. I have been preparing this for around a month so this is why I haven't been around much. There were 55 of us and I done most of the food. A friend done some bits as well but I must admit to being absolutely shattered last night. I was up on Friday cleaning and preparing food until midnight and then back up and 6am cooking yesterday morning right up until 3pm. I was so busy in the kitchen I didn't get any photos so must ask everyone for some.

Enough about my stresses now, I have some pictures of cards that I have made (although there aren't many) and I will upload those in the week. I have lots of goodies arriving for the website and today I have been to a craft fair at Sandown and bought lots of goodies. I've got to say I was very dissappointed with the fair though but still managed to spend too much although most of it was birthday money.

Off now to tidy craft room and play.
Hope you all had a good weekend.
