A couple of simple ones

Plain white card embossed with happy birthday folder and mounted onto lilac card. Numbers are Sizzix lollipop cut from chipboard and matching lilac. Mounted on nestabilities. Ribbon is sheer white and lilac but I don't think you can see in the picture that two ribbons were used. Stickles around the edge of the numbers for a little bit of sparkle.

I was asked to make these and I didn't have a huge amount of time so they had to be quite simple. I have used this layout before which I pinced from Michelle (cardgrotto).

Just embossed white card with happy birthday folder and mounted onto pink card. Mounted some plain white card onto pink card and added the 21, which is Sizzix lollipop alphabet, which I cut out in chipboard and added pink to the top of it. I went around the edge with stickles. The bottle is a die cut I have which I layered up and added some peel off numbers for the year that she was born.

Here they are

This card was made for a friend of mine (Anna) who managed to get me a MS Doily Lace punch. This was the first card that I made using it. Hope she liked it:o)

I embossed some white card with the birds and swirls Cuttlebug folder and then ran an embossing tool along the bottom. I also embossed another piece with the swiss dots folder and cut them to size and mounted them on some pearl green card. The green sheer ribbon hides the join of the card. Message is Craftwork Cards and obviously the bottom was done with the lace doily punch.

Hi all

Sorry I've not been around. I do have some cards (shock, horror) which I will add later as I'm having problems uploading and need Andy to sort them out for me.
Had a manic week with the boys off. My dad had his CT Scan yesterday (and has been ill ever since). He gets the results on Tuesday, so fingers crossed.
Off to sort out the pictures.

I'm still here

Sorry for lack of blogging and card making. We are having a bit of a tough time at home. Jordan is still struggling at school but I think we may be getting there, slowly. Here's hoping.
My dad has had his MRI scan and now needs to go for a CT scan. They have said that the outcome of that will be to decide if they can try another hormone tablet or if he will have to have chemo. He is still very tired and not eating very much which has caused him to lose quite a bit of weight. I'm taking the boys to see him tonight. Me, well I'm just so shattered but what's new there.

I'm card making toda and I do have some waiting to be uploaded. My word how long since I've posted pictures of cards.
See ya later.

It never rains but it pours

Not had a great day today. Still having problems with Jordan in school and my dad my had 'a funny turn' as my mum puts it.
I do have an appointment tomorrow to see Jordans tutor so hopefully something might get sorted. Fingers crossed.
My dad will not go to the doctor. He was driving home when one of his eyes went blury and he had double vision. He hasn't eaten for quite a long time now, so not sure if it has something to do with it but we all quite worried at the moment. He has an MRI booked in for next Wednesday so we'll see what that brings up.
I have made some cards but I will upload them in the next couple of days as I haven't felt that great myself. I found a lump in my neck a few weeks ago and the doctor said to go back if it didn't dissapear. Well I went back today as it's been a little itchy and I haven't been able to move my neck that well for the last three days and the pain has gone into my back. He thinks I may have the start of shingles but said we'll know in the next couple of days. He asked if I was stressed. Ha that made me laugh. If only he knew.
Sorry to blab but it's made me feel a little better. Off for a long soak.

Thank you and an update on Jordan

Thank you everyone who left a comment regarding Jordan starting senior school. I, for some reason hve not been getting emails telling me when I've had a comment left, and didn't think anyone looked at my blog, lol. I was just having a good old rant. I'm glad it's not just me that's cross. I have been trying to get hold of the head of year, since last week, leaving messages and emailing but am still waiting.

Jordan has been a little better about going. I feel we are back on square one but at least we are not on square minus 10 that we were on last week. He has dylexia so does find some work harder and has struggled with french so they have taken him out of that for now. Not sure what I think of that at the moment as I'm concerned that when they put him back he will be way behind everyone else, but he is ok about going to school and that is the main thing for me. No more panic attacks, which was my main concern. He has a activity day tomorrow, where they do team building things so I'm hoping he will make a few friends as he is still finding it hard to go out at break and lunchtime. Fingers crossed everyone.
Photo above is on their first day back. Luke (big bro) is on the left (age 16) and Jordan (looking happy) on the right. Bless em. Who would think by looking at this photo that they've turned me grey!!!

More cards

Well here are some cards that I have been making over the last couple of months and not had time to post. The top one was for a friend of mine and her mum, just to say thank you. I put a pocket in and added some M&S vouchers. The 2nd one was for my parents anniversary. My mum likes pink. Not a great photo, i know. Off to make more cards. Whilst I was on holiday I took lots and lots of stamped images to colour and now I have them all to make into cards.
